The Main Street Fair is seeking a diverse and family-friendly lineup of food options for 2026!


Please note that filling out an application does not guarantee a spot at the fair.

Application Process

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis — typically within two weeks. If your application is not accepted, you'll be notified as soon as possible. If accepted, you’ll follow the steps listed below.

Pay Your Invoice

Payment is required to secure your participation.

Submit Your License

Proof of your food and/or liquor license will be requested.

Obtain a Permit

You’ll need a temporary permit from the City of Evanston to sell at the event.

Receive Your Assignment

Booth numbers and placement are final and cannot be changed.

  • The Main Street Fair will be held in Evanston, Illinois with booths and activities near Main Street & Chicago Avenue. The Fair will take up four square blocks, so there will be action on side streets as well.

  • Fill out the food vendor application form.

    PLEASE NOTE: Completing an application does not guarantee a space.

  • The food vendor booth fee is $250 (non-refundable). Payment is only collected after your application has been reviewed and accepted.

  • No — submitting an application does not guarantee a booth space.

    Vendors are carefully selected to create a balanced, diverse, and family-friendly vendor mix. You'll be notified either way.

  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis — typically within two weeks. If your application is not accepted, you'll be notified as soon as possible. If accepted, we'll follow up with your invoice, licensing requirements, city permit details, and booth assignment.

  • Booth placements are thoughtfully curated to ensure the best overall experience for attendees. Booth numbers and locations are final and cannot be changed.

  • Yes. Approved vendors will need to obtain a temporary permit from the City of Evanston to sell at the event. We'll provide details on this process after your application is accepted.
