Guest Information for the Main Street Fair

  • Main Street Fair starts at 11am on June 28th and ends at 9:00pm the same night. CLICK HERE to see the live music schedule.

  • You can find the entrance to the Fair at the corner of Main Street & Chicago Avenue in Evanston.

    • RECOMMENDED: Coming by bike? Lock up at the Evanston Transit Alliance bike corral located at 800 Chicago Ave, just south the CTA stop. 

    • RECOMMENDED: Coming by train? Both the Main Street Purple Line CTA stop and the Main Street Evanston Metra stop 

    • Coming by Car? Meter Parking is available on Chicago Avenue near the festival. Driving to the festival is not recommended. Parking spaces will be at a premium. If you park on side streets, please pay attention to permit requirements. 

    • Coming from Out of Town? Consider staying at one of these nearby hotels. All hotels are located 10-15 minutes by foot, or one stop by train.

  • Yes, dogs on leashes are allowed. If your dog has sensory sensitivities, please know that this festival will be crowded and the live music performances will be very loud.

  • Yes, although it may be crowded. The festival is as accessible as possible to allow for wheelchairs.

  • Yes, there will be food available to purchase from both vendors and at local restaurants.

  • All the following streets will close at 6am on Saturday June 28th and reopen at 11pm on June 28th: 

    • Main Street, Sherman to Custer & Chicago to Hinman (Chicago Ave WILL be open to through traffic

    • Washington St, Chicago Ave to Custer Ave

    • Custer Ave, Main Street to Madison St (although driveway access is available for apartment buildings on that block)

  • Alcohol is available for purchase by those 21 and older with a valid ID. Alcohol purchased at the beer booths along the festival may be carried within the boundaries of the festival. If you purchase alcohol at a local bar or restaurant, you may NOT leave the establishment with the drink.

  • We take your safety seriously. The Main Street Fair organizers are working in partnership with the Evanston Police and Fire Departments to ensure the safety of all vendors and guests. You WILL see a police presence on and near the fairway.
