ABOUT THE FAIR

Main Street Fair is an annual outdoor festival celebrating local artists, makers, and food vendors right in the heart of the Main-Dempster Mile in Evanston.

All booths are a standard 10×10 ft space.

Vendor FAQs

  • The Main Street Fair will be held in Evanston, Illinois with booths and activities near Main Street & Chicago Avenue. The Fair will take up four square blocks, so there will be action on side streets as well.

  • Fill out the vendor application form and pay the required deposit.

    PLEASE NOTE: Completing an application does not guarantee a booth space.

    Fair organizers curate vendor selection to provide a full, diverse and family-friendly experience for guests. 

    Full payment is required at time of application. If your application is not accepted, you will receive a full refund.

    • $199 - through April 27

    • $249 -April 28 - May 27

    • $299 - May 28 - June 19

  • Applicants will receive an initial email from the Evanston Made Team confirming their application and deposit were received. You’ll receive a separate email after review of your application whether you are accepted or not (within two weeks)

    If you are accepted: 

    • You will receive a separate Vendor Acceptance (should be within two weeks of applying). 

    • In mid-May, you’ll receive your booth assignment, assigned shutdown time and preliminary setup schedule/instructions

    • In mid-June, you’ll receive a final instructions on your setup schedule and logistics

    If you are not accepted:

    • You will receive a full refund along with your notification.

  • To best manage the City of Evanston’s public works’ equipment and manpower limitations, the fair will be shut down in phases. See the schedule below: 

    • 6:00 PM – (including Kids Area) 

    • 7:30 PM – All Zones that are not adjacent to the Main Stage

    • 9:00 PM – Main Stage & adjacent Zones will shut down

  • You can express a preference. We will accommodate to the best of our ability based on space availability. 

    • If you don’t like your initial assigned shutdown time, you may ask for a different one and we’ll accommodate to the best of our ability at that time. 

    • If we cannot accommodate your preference, you may withdraw from the festival and get a full refund.

  • No. Vendor locations and accompanying booth numbers are curated, and all booth assignments are final.

  • Yes. To ensure we get both parties on the vendor list accurately, please provide the names of all artists / merchants sharing your booth. If, after you’ve submitted an application, you want to add another name, contact us at info@mainstreetfair.org.

  • 10 × 10 ft

  • Yes, details will be included in your May setup instruction email.

  • No, you must provide your own source of electricity, if needed.

  • Nothing. You are responsible for providing your own tent, table, chairs and equipment. 

  • A vendor list will be included on our website.
